Anderson, SC| Anderson City Fire Department, Medshore Ambulance Service, and Anderson County EMS Paramedics responded to Market Street and McDuffie Street for a deputy-involved head-on collision. Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer said:
A deputy was hit tonight but thankfully has non-life-threatening injuries. Two people have been arrested with pending charges.
Deputies were following a stolen car and as soon as the head-on crash occurred, the driver took off on foot. Deputies successfully took the driver into custody, along with the passenger a short time later. They also found drugs inside the suspect’s car.
All parties were taken to the hospital as a preventative measure.
