Anderson, SC| Early Monday morning, Homeland Park and Broadway Fire Departments, Medshore Ambulance Service, Anderson County Fire Investigators, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County Fire Chaplin, and Anderson County EMS Paramedic responded to Woodmont Cir for a camper fire. Firefighters battled the camper fire and a boat that had caught fire. Once the fire was contained, firefighters discovered a body. Anderson County Fire Department Investigators and the Anderson County Coroner’s Office are investigating this fire.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office released preliminary information regarding this morning’s fire.
Anderson County 911 received a call at around 3:40 am on Monday morning for a camper fire on Woodvale Road in Anderson. Anderson County EMS, Medshore EMS, Homeland Park Fire Department, Broadway Fire Departments, and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Responders arrived to find a fully
involved camper fire with unknown entrapment. Firefighters worked to get the fire extinguished, where they found a deceased individual. The identity of the victim is still under investigation, pending dental review as well as DNA analysis. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday to assist in the investigation. The investigation is ongoing by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

JIMMY DALE KELLEY JR
51-year-old male from Anderson, SC
With help from the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, we were able to get a DNA match on the victim with
his and his family member’s DNA.
The investigation is ongoing by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner, Anderson County Fire
Department and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
