Anderson, SC| Broadway and Homeland Park Fire Departments, Medshore Ambulance Service, and Anderson County EMS Paramedic responded to Estes Drive and East River St for a motorcycle vs. 18-wheeler. The motorcyclist was killed and pronounced dead on scene. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as

45-year-old male from Anderson, SC.
The victim died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries secondary to blunt force trauma and the
manner of death has been ruled accidental.
The investigation indicates that the victim was driving a motorcycle and was attempting to turn
on the Belton-Anderson Highway from Estes Drive and struck the trailer of a tractor trailer
traveling west on Belton-Anderson Highway. It appears that the tractor trailer had slowed to
make a turn, when the victim struck the side of the trailer. The victim was wearing a helmet at
the time of the impact.
The investigation is on-going by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner, the South Carolina
Highway Patrol and the South Carolina Transport Police.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office, South Carolina Transport Police, and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating this fatal accident.
