Anderson, SC| One person was killed in an early morning shooting at Tanglewood Apartments. Shortly after 8:45 Thursday morning Anderson County 911 received the call someone had been shot in the fourty one building located at 2418 Marchbanks Ave, Anderson. Police Officers arrived on scene to find a male with a gun shot wound. A person of interest was quickly detained for further questioning. The patient was scene on a stretcher being loaded into the ambulance with a Lucas device attached to him. A Lucas is a CPR device. The patient was later pronounced deceased at Anmed Health. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office did respond to the hospital. The Coroner’s Office has not released the name of the deceased. A juvenile has been detained pending further investigation and questioning said Nikki Carson Major with the Anderson City Police Department. Carson went on to say that this is an isolated domestic incident and the public is not in danger.

A 46-year-old male from Anderson, SC
Preliminary investigation shows that a domestic altercation occurred in the apartment, which caused shots
to be fired, striking the victim.
The cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds, the manner of death has been ruled homicide.
There is no threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the Anderson Police
Department.
