After Hurricane Milton rapidly increased to a Cat 5 with 180 mph winds on Monday, Hurricane Milton was downgraded to a Cat 4 with 150 mph winds on Tuesday Morning. NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) released a warning stating TODAY IS THE LAST FULL DAY FOR FLORIDA RESIDENTS TO GET THEIR FAMILIES AND HOMES READY AND EVACUATE IF TOLD TO DO SO BY LOCAL OFFICIALS. Hurricane Milton is projected to hit around the Tampa Bay region of Florida. Between 12-16 inches of rain is expected in the Tampa region. Highways leading out of Florida yesterday were gridlocked with people trying to evacuate. Hurricane Milton is expected to hit Florida as a Major Hurricane Cat 3.
