Belton, SC| Early this morning, at about 4:50 a.m. Medshore Ambulance Service, Anderson County EMS Paramedic, and Belton City Fire Department responded to the 300 Block of Oak Dr. for a Cardiac Arrest. The Coroner’s Office is reporting a Child Fatality Investigation is underway in Belton. The Coroner’s Office said the preliminary investigation indicates that the infant was discovered this morning by his parents. The initial investigation indicates there are no signs of foul play. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday to assist in the investigation. This investigation is ongoing by the Coroner’s and Anderson County Sheriff’s Offices. This is a developing story. In an Exclusive Interview with Coroner Shore, he stated that this is the second Child Fatality his Office has worked in 24 Hours. He wants to stress that Co-Sleeping should never happen. Coroner Shore says all children should sleep in their own bed and never with their parents.
