Pendleton, SC| The Anderson County Coroner is on the scene of a shooting. The Coroner’s Office said the shooting took place at Palmetto Village Apartments in Pendleton. Coroner Greg Shore said that a person was in an upstairs apartment and fired a test shot through the floor and struck a child under 10 years old in the leg. The person in the upstairs apartment ultimately took their own life. The child was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital by LifeFlight. The scene was very active. The Coroner’s and Sheriff’s offices were waiting for search warrants to process the scene. Stay with us as we get more information.
