Anderson, SC| Ebenezer Fire Department, Medshore Ambulance Service, and Anderson County EMS Paramedics responded to the 6200 block of Abbeville Highway for a motorcycle wreck. Initial reports were two people were ejected from the motorcycle. LifeFlight took one patient to an area trauma center, and Medshore Ambulance Service took the other patient to the same trauma center. Skid marks could be seen roughly 100-200 feet from the wreck. South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating this accident.
Update|Â Anderson, SC (14 October 2024 9:00a.m. EDT) Greg Shore, Coroner, advised that his office is investigating thedeath of a man who died after being ejected from his motorcycle.Anderson County 911 received a call for a motorcycle crash on Sunday night at around 8:00pm on AbbevilleHighway in Anderson. Medics arrived on scene and found two patients ejected from a motorcycle and begantreatment. The male patient was flown to Prisma Hospital and the female patient was transported byambulance to Prisma. The male patient succumbed to his injuries Sunday night at 9:25pm.

54-year-old male from Gilbert, SC
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim was traveling on Abbeville Highway when witnesses say he suddenly put on brakes, causing the motorcycle to flip forward, ejecting both riders. The cause of death is multiple traumatic injuries secondary to blunt force trauma. The manner of death has been ruled accidental. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
