Anderson, SC| McCants Middle School off of Marchbanks Ave is under heavy Police Protection due to a Bomb Threat. Police can be seen at every entrance to the school. Nikki Carson with the Anderson City Police Department told upstatenewstoday.com that this was another hoax call. Carson said all protocols were followed, and the City Police Department had help from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and Clemson University Police Department’s Bomb Dogs. Kyle Newton, Public Information Officer with Anderson School District 5, said “that this was yet another confirmed hoax.” Stay with us as this major story develops.
